A childhood friend came to visit recently with her beautiful family. She has three children now, and they are all gorgeous. I call them my "models in the making" because they are all so photogenic and seem to love the camera. My friend and I had a great time walking down memory lane together as we strolled through campus remembering the old days. It is exciting to be able to come back to old, familiar places with our new families and to share our memories with them. Thanks, M family, and I can't wait to see you again soon!
My love for photography began at an early age. Growing up, I always treasured how family photographs and home movies could capture emotions and relationships at a particular moment in time. After finishing my formal education for high school guidance counseling several years ago, I began photography as a hobby. Yet, it wasn't until after the birth of my son that my passion for photography grew even more. It is this love and passion for photography, people, and relationships that guided me toward starting Stacey Cooke Photography (in Athens, Georgia).
I use a more organic approach to capturing portrait images by using natural light in an outdoor landscape, a brightly sunlit room, or near a softly lit window. This helps to create mood and emotion in the photograph that is sometimes lacking in a more traditional studio setting. My hope is to capture the innocence of the young child, the love of the newly engaged couple, and the excitement of the wedding on the couple's special day. As always, I hope to create beautiful photographs that will become your work of art. I look forward to getting a glimpse into your life and capturing the beauty of your moments.
